BMR - THANK YOU!

The BMR would like to thank everybody involved in making Saturday’s Christmas Fayre such a huge success.

The response to our last minute plea for cakes for the Café was fantastic, meaning that we had plenty to sell on the day and the Café did a roaring trade. 

Thank you to all who helped decorate the rooms, man the stalls, give out programmes, help in the coffee shop and all the other numerous tasks required to make the Fayre run smoothly.

We had some very generous donations for the tombola – thank you to all of you who brought in a great variety of gifts.

We introduced a Silent Auction this year for the first time and were delighted with the results – both in the variety of lots that we could offer and the money raised.  From this alone, we raised around £1200.   Thank you to all who contributed to the auction and to the bidders; we hope to do it again next year!

We raised over £3000, which is a record year for the Christmas Fayre.   A generous donation will be made to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance who very kindly made Brockhurst & Marlston House the last visit for their fuselage, as it will no longer be used at such events.
