New members are most welcome.  We meet on Mondays at 8 p.m. in the School Drawing Room for friendly Bridge in the Autumn and Spring Terms.  Some of us are experienced players, some pretty rusty and others, like myself, are very much still learning.  If you are at all interested in playing, please contact the Schools’ Secretary, Pauline Mackie, who is herself a player, by phone, by e-mail or in person. The atmosphere is informal.  People bring a bottle of wine from time to time to lubricate the proceedings.  There is no obligation whatsoever to play every week.  We generally manage three or four tables – occasionally only two – or, exceptionally, five.  In order to achieve, as far as possible, multiples of four players we ask those who have not signed themselves in for the forthcoming Monday at the previous week’s session, to e-mail Pauline Mackie of their intention to play by the preceding Thursday night.

The new season – our seventh – begins on 24^th September.  Thereafter we shall meet every Monday (except 22^nd and 29^th October) up to and including 3^rd December.  After Christmas we shall re-commence on 21^st January and play every Monday (except 11^th February) up to and including 17^th March.
