Directions to Brockhurst and Marlston if using the A34 from the south, heading north:

Ignore signs indicating Newbury. Follow signs for M4 and Chieveley.

Approaching the M4, which passes above you, keep in left-hand lane, following signs for Oxford. Follow directions ‘from junction 13’ below.

 

Directions to Brockhurst and Marlston if using the A34 from the north, heading south:

Follow signs for M4 and Chieveley.

At the roundabout under the M4, which passes above you, keep in the middle lane, following signs for Oxford. Follow directions ‘from junction 13’ below.

 

Directions to Brockhurst from Junction 13 of the M4

Head towards Oxford North bound on the A34 (not towards Newbury), keeping in the left-hand lane. Watch for the signs for Chieveley or Hermitage. BEWARE! The slip road is only about 50m away from the Junction 13/A34 roundabout. Stay in the left lane. It is easy to miss the slip road and the next junction is miles further north!

At top of slip road turn right towards Hermitage.  You will pass over the M4 and within one mile will pass a garden centre on your left and an army barracks on your right.  100 yards further is a mini-roundabout/T-Junction: turn left.  You will immediately pass a tractor showroom on your right and a pub "The White Horse" on your right and within 100 yards turn right, signposted Brockhurst Prep School.

You are following the signs to Bucklebury and follow this road under an old railway bridge, uphill through the woodland, downhill with more woodland and do not turn off.  This part of the journey is further, or slower and therefore longer, than you think, even though it is only 1.5 miles.  The school will appear on your right.  Come down the main front drive.
