RIDGE HOUSE RECEPTION PUPILS will receive
routine dyslexia screening over the course
of the next few months. For full details
please read the
attached letter. Your response to the
question regarding family history of reading
and spelling difficulties is an important
factor in determining whether a child might
be at risk of dyslexia. Therefore, we would
be grateful if all parents of
Reception pupils could
kindly return the tear-off slip as soon as
possible to Mrs Redhouse or Miss Dalby.

September UNIFORM
SHOP RETURNS The parents who run the Uniform
Shop find that very little use is made of the 'in
school' return service; the direct return is free
and is quicker. The Uniform Shop will
therefore be discontinuing the 'in school' service.
Full boarders will of course be supported and
will have wrongly sized items returned within
school.

SCHOOL WEBSITE 'HACKED'. During the weekend of
the recent Bank Holiday the server and client files
of the commercial company to whom all items on our
website are uploaded for distribution on the net had
its security compromised. By the end of
the following long and very dispiriting day, most of
the damaged pages of our website had been
repaired and re-uploaded. However, it seems
that pupils are still finding some 'hacked' pages:
we can only apologise and
Nick Park would like to hear from any pupils or
parents who stumble across a page with a 'Darth
Vader' figure proclaiming, 'You've been hacked just
for fun'. Fun?
