Lumen Printing is a light-sensitive, silver gelatin, photographic process using darkroom chemicals - but you don't need to be a photographer to do it! During the workshop, you will layer the paper with various natural objects and materials, from leaves and fruit to flowers and fabrics. Part of the workshop, will be taking a walk around the local area, where we will collect flora and other found objects for your prints. You will then learn to design, layer, expose and develop your lumen prints, ready to take home with you. In the second part of your workshop, you will be using a specialist Gold Toner to 'paint' your prints! You will also be applying different materials and techniques to manipulate and alter your lumens.
