Candles representing the light of Christ spreading through the world at Christmas were passed from pupil to pupil on Friday evening. The service, led by pupils, showed how the darkness of midwinter can be overcome. The darkness in the church slowly became lightened as each pupil held a candle, the shadows flickering on the walls of our 1000 year-old church.

Arya gave a short talk to all those in church in which he explained how Hindu people celebrate the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.
