Form 2 pupils went to Exmoor where they spent a long weekend staying on a farm near Simonsbath. There they investigated the flow rate of the River Barle, as well as visiting the 1000 year-old clapper bridge at Tarr Steps.
Form 1 pupils descended on the Field Studies Centre in Slapton, spending sunlit days measuring shingle beach profiles, hunting for starfish and dog whelks in the rock pools and at the end of the day enjoying Devon ice creams!
One of the places they visited was Prawle Point where they were invited in to the Coast Watch station. The pupils delighted in using the equipment and were able to identify many passing sailing craft as well as much larger vessels.
