IAPS Swimming Finals Results.

Congratulations to all the swimmers who represented Brockhurst and Marlston House Schools at the London Aquatics Centre on Saturday 8th June in the IAPS Swimming finals.

The Brockhurst U10/11 Small Schools relay team came away with a bronze medal whilst Marlston House were placed a highly commendable fifth place in the equivalent girls event.

The U12 boys came 16th in the 4x25 metre freestyle relay having qualified in 20th position. This significant improvement in their placing also saw the school record for this event broken.

Matthew Wright qualified for the finals in the U12 boy’s 50 metre breaststroke event. He took an impressive 3 seconds off his qualifying time, broke the school record and found himself in the final after the prelims’ during the early part of the afternoon. Having swum a personal best time he finished a highly commendable 10th place overall.

A very impressive display of technical ability and speed by all swimmers involved. Well done.
