Science during lockdown

"I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand."  These words, attributed, almost certainly incorrectly, to Confucius, help to explain the passion that many pupils have for practical work in their science classes

Continuing their science syllabus Form 2 have been studying various biology topics as part of their WorldClass online lessons.  The pupils enthusiastically embraced the spirit of the practical elements.

They have been innovative when preparing to measure population numbers using their local fields, their gardens, their balconies even and from these habitats achieving useful measurements and learning various sampling techniques. In the photographs, we can see some of the pupils working with their homemade quadrats and working with their pitfall traps, Great initiative Form 2!
