Three things that make us different

1. Our twin school structure combines the best features of single sex and co-education

We offer single sex academic classes in a co-educational setting. This helps all our children to achieve their academic potential as well as a rounded social development.

It is well recognised that boys and girls learn differently and mature at different rates in the Primary years.  We have adapted our teaching methodology to take account of these differences in the following way:

From Year 2 to Year 6 our boys and girls are taught apart in small single sex classes for their academic lessons because this is when their differing learning needs are at their most marked.

Outside the classroom we are co-educational.  This enables our children to gain the full benefits of social interaction through sharing our outstanding facilities and exceptional extracurricular opportunities.

2. You can create a bespoke timetable and flexible school day for your child:

We enable you to build a bespoke timetable to suit your child’s interests and your family’s requirements.

Every afternoon and evening we provide over three hours of options including different sports, extension classes and more than 80 other fun extracurricular activities.

You can build a timetable to suit your child’s interests with a flexible collection time that works for you - your child can also sleep over as a flexi-boarder on any evening you choose.

We have a flexible fee structure which aims to suit every requirement.

3. Our hybrid classrooms help children to make faster academic progress.

Using the latest video technology, our lessons are available live and on demand from Year 3 to pupils who are unable for whatever reason to be physically present in class, but who are able to join in online.  They are also recorded and available on catch-up.  We call this a hybrid classroom.

Hybrid classrooms
Here are some of the benefits:
  • Your child can access our lessons from anywhere live on demand to suit your family’s requirements:
  • You can support your child at home with their learning better using our recorded lessons to help you
  • Our children can easily catch up on missed lessons because they are recorded
  • Our children can consolidate and extend their learning whenever they want to.
  • Many children are visual learners – recordings of live interactive lessons support their learning better
