Twin Schools Combining the Best of Single-Sex & Co-Education 51 Week a Year Nursery 'The Most Exciting Schools In Berkshire'

Next Open Morning – 20th March

Welcome

Brockhurst and Marlston House are twin preparatory schools for boys and girls aged 2 to 13, set within a beautiful Berkshire estate.

We offer a unique ‘diamond model’ of education, combining the best of single-sex and co-education, with single-sex teaching from Year 3 to 7. This approach allows children to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment. A co-educational sport, music and co-curricular programme runs for three hours each afternoon, helping every child flourish as an individual.

Brockhurst and Marlston House children are cheerful enthusiasts, well mannered, and fearless in their willingness to try new things.

  • Last week we planted a beautiful handkerchief tree in the Ridge House Nursery playground in memory of our much-loved member of staff, Lara Key, who was the Head of the Nursery.

Lara’s children, Phoebe and Oliver, joined Mr Fleming to help plant the tree, making it an especially meaningful moment for everyone involved. Together they carefully placed the tree in its new home, where it will grow and flourish for many years to come.

The tree will stand as a lasting tribute to Lara, and we look forward to watching it grow alongside the children who play beneath its branches. #brockmarl
  • All our pupils had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day, arriving in some brilliantly creative costumes inspired by their favourite characters and stories. From imaginative outfits to lots of laughter, it was a fantastic day filled with fun across the school.

Take a look at some of these brilliant dance moves in the video. It’s safe to say our pupils brought plenty of energy to the celebrations! 📚 #brockmarl
  • A group of Form 1 Leavers spent a joyful day racing across the countryside with the beagles🐾

With muddy boots, rosy cheeks and plenty of laughter along the way, it was the perfect mix of adventure, fresh air and unforgettable memories. What a wonderful way to spend the day! #brockmarl
