Academic Development & Enrichment Beyond the School Year
Open to Pupils in Reception to Year 8Proposed Launch: September 2026
Holiday Activities
The Brockmarl Academy has been designed to provide children with an engaging and purposeful programme of learning and enrichment during the school holidays.
Combining academic support with exciting activities, our Academic Development Programme offers children the opportunity to continue developing skills, confidence and interests outside term time. Whether your child enjoys sport, creative activities, technology, outdoor learning or academic challenges, each day is carefully structured to be both enjoyable and rewarding.
For families looking for high-quality Educational Holiday Activities in Newbury and across Berkshire, Brockmarl Academy provides a familiar, supportive environment led by experienced teachers who understand how children learn best.
Extracurricular Activities
Sport, swimming, creative arts, technology, problem-solving challenges and outdoor adventures all form part of the programme. Activities are designed to encourage teamwork, creativity, resilience and confidence while ensuring children remain active and engaged throughout the day.
The balance between learning and enjoyment makes Brockmarl Academy an exciting alternative to traditional holiday childcare.
Academic Development Programme
Our programme has been carefully designed to complement learning during the school year while allowing children to enjoy their holidays.
Academic sessions focus on consolidating classroom learning, developing confidence and extending understanding in key subject areas. Structured support is also available for pupils preparing for assessments, including ISEB pre-tests where appropriate.
Unlike many School Holiday Camps, the emphasis is on meaningful development, helping children return to school feeling confident, engaged and ready for the term ahead.
Familiar Faces & Ethos
One of the greatest strengths of Brockmarl Academy is that children are taught and supported by familiar members of staff.
As an Independent School Holiday Club, pupils benefit from the same high standards, supportive ethos and strong sense of community they experience throughout the school year. Learning takes place in an environment where children already feel comfortable, confident and known as individuals.
Parents can be reassured that their children are spending time with trusted staff who understand their strengths, interests and learning needs.
A Private Prep School Holiday Club With A Difference
Brockmarl Academy has been created for families who want more from a holiday programme.
As a Private Prep School Holiday Club, we combine academic enrichment with exciting experiences, helping children continue to grow while enjoying their time away from the classroom. The result is a programme that feels purposeful, enjoyable and rewarding in equal measure.
Located in Hermitage near Newbury, we welcome families from Bucklebury, Chieveley, Cold Ash and across Berkshire looking for a high-quality holiday provision that reflects the values and standards of Brockhurst & Marlston House.
